Going Outside ASG Upstate SC

In order to stay connected, I appealed to the ASG Newsletter Editors and Bloggers to share what sewing is going on throughout our nation. Here's my first response.

This is Sandi, from Sarasota Gulf Coast Chapter of ASG in FL. I am home with my hubby and cat.

I am finishing up the last of the mask order for my son and family and his co-workers at a small cafe/pub in rural Montana. They have been going into the red for a month now trying to stay open for take out and to feed the 200 families in their town. The masks will be used by them as they deliver food to those who need it.

Before that I did a few masks for my neighbors in need. Our chapter has been very active in sewing masks, with nearly 900 sewn and distributed to date. On the fun side we are also in the midst of a Vintage Challenge which is the theme for our Annual Meeting. Anything with a Vintage theme can be entered.

CHALLENGE!

Share your Sewing Space.

Mine is pretty messy but I'm not ashamed to share it. I have no really good place to cut anything out other than my dining room table which is back breaking. This really effects my sewing time.

Thanks Sandi, but sadly I'm don't have much sewing mojo right now. In a big slump. Knitting instead.
