Finally finished! Don’t know why I was so hesitant sewing on the buttons by machine and edge-stitching. Scalloped Basket by Poorhouse Quilt Designs. Used my well-loved 1031 Bernina.
(My newer machine has a program for it.)
I used #18 presser foot and set the length on satin stitch/0 and tried out the zigzag width 4.5+ Hand walked wheel and then used the slow speed.
There’s several very good videos out there on how to sew the buttons on by machine.
Karen Montgomery has a cute wall hanging pattern for Christmas and Valentines that has dozens of buttons.
