Cindy's English Paper Piecing

A work in progress

This is English Paper Piecing not to be confused with Foundation Paper Piecing. All stitched by hand. The next step is to hand applique it to a white background. Then I'm going to machine quilt it myself since it is only a 40"x40" wall hanging.

Another interesting thing is there are only straight lines. The curve is an illusion. When I took it to the Bernina store to get the background fabric, they thought the lines were curved.

Also this is my very first quilt except for a quilt-as-you-go baby quilt 30 years ago.

Pattern is Windows Into My World by Geta's Quilting Studio.

neighborhood meeting reminders

Greer Neighborhood Group will be meeting at the Faith United Methodist Church on 1301 S Highway 14, Greer. Our meeting starts at 6:30 on Thursday, May 5th. We are not meeting in the church itself but the small single floor house that you can see on the right side of the church in the back. To get there, you need to take Lawton St, which is on the right side of the church as you are facing it. The house is the first left. Turn into the driveway and follow all the way to the back and park on the grass. I will be there early to direct those of you who have never been there before. Even if you have never picked up a pair of knitting needles, you can knit a quick scarf on your arms. All materials provided for practice. Make a scarf in an evening. Cindy Moore will get you started. Can’t wait to see this in action! Bring your ideas for presentations you would like to do or see. Also bring your sew and shares and hope to see all of you on Thursday!

The Greenville Neighborhood Group will be meeting at Bernina We’re in Stitches at 10:15am on Tuesday May 3rd.We will have a demo showing how to create a quick and easy credit card wallet.
