Catching Up with Our Asheville Friends

Our May meeting was a visit to Folkwear patterns in Asheville NC https://www.folkwear.com/ Molly Hamilton the owner showed us many original garments from all over the world that were used to create the patters sold by Folkwear.

At our June meeting I reviewed the Mini Traveler Pouch pattern by Kandou Patterns available on Etsy. It’s a good pattern with clear instructions. I plan to make a few more of these once I resolve the issue I’m having with installing spring snaps.

Also at the meeting we celebrated Diane Beck’s birthday.

Madeline Bachta has been working with a company on Etsy for a custom body form. The results aren’t good though. The height proportion isn’t correct. Madeline will let us know whether the company is going to remake the form for her.

Nan Riley showed us the quilt she made for her granddaughter who is moving from crib to toddler bed.
